NIC, with the collaboration of Breast Cancer Care Mauritius, held its second #GetHealthy Ladies Day last Friday, 29 March, at the Wooton Social Welfare Centre in Curepipe. 122 ladies and 7 gentlemen were offered free breast cancer screenings. 8 people were referred for further tests. The 9th campaign of #GetHealthy Kids Day was carried out at Little Blossom Pre-Primary School, Rose Hill, last Friday 20 September. 65 children we offered free eye tests and free general check-ups. 20 of them were referred for further eye tests. We thank Little Blossom, the parents, Chisty Shifa Clinic, Farouk Hossen Opticians and the NIC team for contributing to the children’s healthy growth and well-being. NIC carried out the third #GetHealthy Elders Day on 24 May at Meenatchee Ammen Home, Port Louis.
