Digital Transformation & Innovation Specialist

This role is pivotal in the digital transformation journey of the NIC Group and will be required to hold strong expertise and experience in insurance, financial services and Fintech. The resource person will focus on driving innovation, streamlining of business processes, automation of core service and experience journeys, and driving efficiencies and automation with AI tools amongst others.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the identification, design, and implementation of digital solutions to improve efficiency and service delivery;

  • Analyse existing processes and recommend automation, system enhancements, or technology-driven improvements;

  • Develop and maintain the organisation’s digital transformation roadmap in alignment with strategic objectives;

  • Coordinate with IT and business units to ensure successful integration of digital tools;

  • Scan the market for emerging technologies, tools, and digital trends relevant to the organisation;

  • Monitor budgets, timelines, risks, and deliverables to ensure successful project outcomes; and

  • Provide training, demonstrations, and support to end-users on newly deployed tools or systems.

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field including a minimum of 4 years in digital transformation, business process improvement, innovation, or technology-driven roles;

  • Hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g., Power Automate, RPA, workflow tools), data analytics platforms, or AI-driven applications;

  • Proven track record managing digital projects or implementing process improvements;

Technological Specialist – Infrastructure, Network & Cybersecurity

We are seeking a skilled Technological Specialist to join our ICT team. This role is pivotal in supporting our technological infrastructure and systems (on-site, offshore, and cloud), ensuring reliability, security, and efficiency across the organisation’s technology environment. Candidates are expected to demonstrate sound expertise and experience in ICT Infrastructure, Network and Cybersecurity management with a view to lead the implementation of related projects with the Service Providers and teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage servers, operating systems, telco infrastructure, cloud environments, business applications, and databases to ensure optimal performance, security, and uptime;

  • Install, configure, and manage infrastructure for deployment of system updates, patches, and business applications;

  • Advise management, procurement, and project teams on optimal technological requirements for new systems and infrastructure;

  • Participate in procurement evaluation exercises and ensure adherence to ICT Charter and compliance standards;

  • Ensure proper system backups, test restoration procedures, and assist in system recovery simulations;

  • Control and manage user access to systems and servers; and

  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of projects, policies, and procedures.

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field including a minimum of 4 years in a infrastructure, network, cybersecurity, and cloud technologies;

Data and Integration Specialist

Candidates must have proven expertise and experience in data analysis & data science as well as integration of multi-layered databases & systems (i.e. building of data warehouse and integration layers using appropriate tools).  They should also have strong experience in integration of information systems across multiple platforms, web and on-site applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and security, while integrating with third-party services and enterprise systems (including API development and management).

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain data warehouses, integration pipelines, and data models to support business intelligence and analytics needs;

  • Develop and manage APIs, integration layers, and middleware solutions for seamless connectivity across systems and platforms;

  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and quality of data across multiple sources and applications;

  • Monitor system performance and optimise data flows to ensure high availability and reliability;

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify integration requirements and deliver scalable, secure solutions;

Mobile & Web Application Developer

We are looking for a professional individual to design, develop, test, and maintain mobile and web applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and security, while integrating with third-party services and enterprise systems, in in low code platforms for development of mobile and web based applications to support the business transformation strategies through simple and efficient User Experience (UX) journeys.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy applications to PlayStore, App Store, and Huawei AppGallery;

  • Build responsive web and mobile applications using modern technologies and frameworks;

  • Design workflows, automate business processes, and integrate applications with APIs or legacy systems;

  • Apply DevOps practices, including continuous integration and deployment automation;

  • Ensure application security, performance, and scalability;

  • Document development processes, workflows, and maintain user guides; and

  • Collaborate with non-technical stakeholders to translate UI/UX designs into functional applications (proficiency in Figma is an advantage).

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field including a minimum 4 years in mobile and web application development;

  • Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON, front-end technologies, and databases (MySQL,PostgreSQL, Oracle, MS SQL;

  • Experience with low-code/no-code platforms and DevOps practices;

  • Strong problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills; and

  • Ability to work under pressure and provide excellent customer service.

Manager – Specialty Risks (General Insurance)

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically strong Manager – Specialty Risks to lead and develop our Specialty Risks portfolio within General Insurance. The role is responsible for underwriting, portfolio management, and business development across specialised lines, while ensuring sound risk assessment, profitability, and compliance with regulatory and internal governance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow the Specialty Risks portfolio (e.g. engineering, marine, aviation, liability, energy, construction, or other non-standard risks);

  • Underwrite complex and high-value risks in line with approved underwriting guidelines and delegated authorities;

  • Develop underwriting strategies, pricing approaches, and portfolio management plans to ensure sustainable profitability;

  • Assess risk exposures, coverage structures, and reinsurance requirements in collaboration with internal and external partners;

  • Support business development initiatives by providing technical underwriting input and tailored solutions to brokers and clients;

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, reinsurers, surveyors, and other key stakeholders;

  • Monitor portfolio performance, loss trends, accumulation exposures, and risk concentration, and implement corrective actions;

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk governance frameworks;

  • Lead, mentor, and develop technical underwriting teams within the Specialty Risks function.

Key Requirements

  • Professional qualification in Insurance (CII) or Degree in Risk Management, Engineering, or a related field;

  • Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in Specialty Risks underwriting within General Insurance, including at least 3–5 years in a supervisory or managerial role;

  • Strong technical expertise in one or more specialty lines (engineering, marine, liability, etc.);

  • Proven ability to underwrite complex and non-standard risks;

  • Strong commercial acumen with a disciplined approach to risk and profitability;

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills; and

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop technical teams.

Senior Consultant - Investments

We are seeking a high-calibre Investment Expert on a 18 to 24 month contract basis to drive the investment strategy of the Group and develop its in-house investment capability. The incumbent will be required to demonstrate robust expertise and proven experience in multi-asset investment management across the globe, deep market insight, and strong mentoring and networking abilities. This role will focus on guiding the team’s capacity building, strengthening investment processes, and laying the foundations for sustainable, future ongoing operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership in strengthening the organisation’s in-house investment management capability;

  • Mentor and coach the existing investment team to enhance technical skills in research, analysis, portfolio construction, and investment decision-making;

  • Develop and implement frameworks, processes, and best practices for effective investment operations;

  • Guide the design, review, and optimisation of the Group’s multi-asset investment portfolio;

  • Conduct high-level market, sectoral, and macroeconomic research to support strategic investment decisions;

  • Identify opportunities for diversification, cross-border investments, and new growth areas including Fintech and Insurtech;

  • Review the performance of externally managed portfolios and provide recommendations to senior management and the Board;

  • Strengthen governance structures, risk management practices, and compliance within the investment function;

  • Support succession planning and future recruitment activities by outlining competency requirements and organisational needs; and

  • Prepare strategic reports, recommendations, and insights to guide long-term investment planning and business expansion initiatives.

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Investment Management, or related field;

  • A postgraduate qualification and/or CFA designation would be an advantage;

  • At least 10 years’ experience in a leading role in investment management, portfolio strategy, or asset management in a reputable organisation and/or for a significant portfolio of assets under management;

  • Demonstrated expertise across multiple asset classes, including equities, fixed income, alternatives, and international markets;

  • Proven experience in mentoring, talent development, and capacity building within investment teams;

  • Deep understanding of global market trends, economic indicators, and emerging areas such as Fintech and Insurtech; and

  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
