Responsibilities

 

  • Identify client requirements, promote insurance-related products & services and make recommendations that best suit their needs

  • Demonstrate the ability to meet clients’ demands and anticipate future needs to grow the portfolio

  • Attend to clients’ needs, complaints, and other service requests

  • Nurture client relationship conducive to business retention and development

  • Deliver on agreed sales targets and meet established productivity requirements

  • Comply with NIC customer experience standards, guidelines, and Financial Services Commission rules and regulations

  • Keep abreast with developments in the insurance industry and upcoming & innovative products

Requirements

 

  • SC/HSC

  • Prior work experience, Diploma or Degree would be an advantage

These roles form part of NIC’s Front Desk & Client Facing Operations at various touchpoints and Insurance Boutiques. The positions are of varying complexity and accountability based on the incumbent’s profile, maturity, and experience. The operations encompass customer service and relationship management, point of sales efficiency, growth and retention of customer portfolio.  

Customer Service Assistant

Responsibilities

 

  • Attend to incoming client service requests

  • Respond to and resolve information based client service requests

  • Register payment and allocate to respective client accounts

  • Check validity and completeness of insurance proposals, claim forms and other documents along prescribed KYC and other relevant guidelines   

  • Comply with NIC customer experience standards, policies, guidelines, and Financial Services Commission rules and regulations

Requirements

 

  • HSC holder  

  • Fluency in English/French

  • Good grooming and telephone etiquette

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Good numerical skills and judgement 

  • Conversant with Microsoft Office tools   

  • Readiness to work extra hours

Customer Service Representative

Senior Customer Service Representative

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervisory assistance and guidance to team members

  • Conduct transactions as per assigned authority limits   

  • Register payment and allocate to appropriate client accounts

  • Conduct data integrity checks on transactions and client information

  • Stay abreast with the suite of product and service offerings 

  • Carry out banking formalities and payment reconciliations

  • Check validity and completeness of insurance proposals, claim forms and other documents along prescribed KYC and other relevant guidelines    

  • Nurture client relationship that is conducive to business retention and development

Assistant Claims Handler

Responsibilities

 

  • Record and assess claims based on policy terms, conditions and prescribed procedures

  • Conduct data integrity checks on transactions and client information and report any suspicious claims

  • Prepare daily transactional reports

  • Check validity and completeness of claim forms and supporting evidence along prescribed KYC and other relevant guidelines  

  • Comply with NIC claims underwriting policies and guidelines as well as prescribed customer experience standards

Requirements

 

  • Degree holder   

  • Prior work experience will be an advantage

  • Fluency in English/French

  • Good grooming and telephone etiquette

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Good numerical skills and judgement  

  • Conversant with Microsoft Office tools

Responsibilities

 

  • Record and sort incoming insurance proposals based on underwriting requirements

  • Provide assistance in the overall management of portfolio and contractual endorsements

  • Underwrite proposals as per the underwriting philosophy and guidelines

  • Carry out policy endorsements including membership management and policy coverage

  • Assist in the policy issuance process

  • Comply with NIC underwriting policies and guidelines as well as prescribed customer experience standards

Requirements

 

  • HSC holder  

  • Good communication skills

  • Conversant with Microsoft Office tools
